Scapegoat
In a housing project in Réunion Island, as the Eid al-Adha sacrifice festival approaches, twelve-year-old Ibrahim, of Comorian origin, is stigmatized by Evan, a neighbor his own age, who accuses him of being an animal killer. When Ibrahim learns that a goat is about to be delivered to his building, he wants to save the animal. But Evan is on the lookout.
Sarson ka Saag
A mother guides her son’s hands through the making of a popular Punjabi delicacy called ‘Sarson Ka Saag’, meaning Mustard Greens. This is a son trying to imitate his mothers movements, of childhood observations over kitchen slabs, of attempting to inherit broken pieces of a culture and of a bond which is maintained over audio notes. Sarson, meaning Mustard has been grown in the Punjab since millennia and this one iteration of the making of a family recipe attempts to capture a partitioned region through its unified food.
Boris's Bakery
Boris, the village baker, offers his neighbors crusty bread every day, until one day, sneeze! He can no longer stop himself from sneezing. Having become allergic to flour, how will he supply the village?
Pests
In the summer heat, wasps are busy devouring beautiful, ripe, sweet fruit. But these fruits soon attract other visitors who take malicious pleasure in appropriating the garden's precious bounty. A war is brewing: on one side, a group of children, on the other, an army of wasps. Each with its own weapon. May the best win.
Dinner at Eight
