Adrak (5 mins, Comedy/Drama) Ravi, a souvenir photographer at Gateway of India (Mumbai) is drawn by the sudden urge to photograph a foreigner. She doesn't speak his language. They are worlds apart.
Sahirr is an award-winning filmmaker with an MFA in Film Directing from UCLA and a postgraduate screenwriting degree from FTII. His short film Zoya won a Student Emmy and was acquired by MUBI for global distribution. His work has screened at Oscar-qualifying festivals including Palm Springs ShortFest, Cleveland International Film Festival, Rhode Island International Film Festival, and HollyShorts. His most recent short, Out With It, was part of Netflix India’s pandemic anthology Home Stories.
A Telluride FilmLAB Fellow, Tata Scholar, and recipient of the AMPAS Fellowship and Alfred P. Sloan Grant, Sahirr was mentored by Jonathan Dayton & Valerie Faris (Little Miss Sunshine). Through his company Gorky Films, he continues to develop original features and series. He also directs commercials and has worked with clients including Microsoft, American Express, LinkedIn, Garnier, Byju’s, Paytm, and the Women’s Premier League.
