What happens when a clown has to tell a story… seriously?
Once Upon a Clown Story is a playful, tender and highly interactive family show starring Nika, a clown who dreams of becoming a professional storyteller. Today is her big opportunity: she is ready to tell The Legend of Sant Jordi, a traditional Spanish folk tale but in her very own, unexpected way.
Through humor, physical comedy, storytelling and constant interaction with the audience, Nika invites children and adults to become part of the story itself. The show unfolds through moments of absurdity, emotion and surprise, where imagination takes the lead and laughter becomes a shared language.
With 45 minutes of funny and tender moments, this show is designed for families and children, but speaks equally to adults. Each performance is unique, as the audience actively participates in creating the story together with the clown.
Created and performed by Mónica Santos, healthcare clown, performer and founder of Big Smiles, this show has been performed more than 200 times in India and Spain since 2018, in theatres, literature festivals, schools, hospitals, community centers and open-air spaces.
A joyful celebration of storytelling, presence and human connection, where nothing ever goes exactly as planned… and that’s where the magic begins.
