It’s never silent here.
Traffic grinds its teeth into the night. Wires sweat a low static.
A television murmurs in the next room. The air carries a constant drone. The works in this screening trace that tremor. They tune into the everyday ambience - the electrical hiss, the looping thoughts, and the background noise.
Noise leaks through walls. It rattles the nerves. It shapes how we move through space, how we sleep, and how long we stay awake. It quietly decides who gets rest and who lives inside the fluorescent buzz of the machine.
Silence becomes a kind of luxury. Place your ear against a wall and you can hear it breathing back.

About the artists:
@local.gr0up and curator @yassinyan, a Ukrainian experimental video collective based in Berlin have come together with this experimental experience.
Their curatorial approach looks at dystopian fragments embedded in our present moment, the textures of lived life shaped by war, surveillance architectures, digital proximity, collapsing infrastructures, intimate dissonance, and the strange elasticity of time today.

This Bombay version is a direct response to the screening in Berlin. Building across-contextual conversation this screening includes Indian experimental filmmakers, for this extended concept to resonate with a different landscape and sensibility.
