Overwhelmed by your love and encouragement, we are bringing back the rehearsed reading of Bambai Ke Kauwe!
This play was originally written in Marathi, ‘Mumbaiche Kawale’ and also translated in Hindi by Akademi Award-winning playwright Shafat Khan, more than 40 years ago.
In a village battered by heavy rain and whirlwind, everything is washed away, including animals and birds. Two volunteers, who believe in two different dogmas, arrive in the village to help. The villagers want them to bring crows (kawale) to perform the last rites of their dead relatives.
