35mm b/w Photography Workshop

35mm black and white photography has an unparalleled charm. It has a way of looking at the world that is grounded in the history of image-making and is yet so contemporary. In this one day beginners workshop, participants will get a complete understanding of how b/w film works, develop it themselves and project it at the end of the day using a slide projector. 

We will cover:

• The basics of manual 35mm film cameras
• Types of emulsions and an understanding of silver based image making
• Exposure control and light metering
• B/w film developing - chemistry and apparatus
• Slide Projection 

Each participant will share a camera with another and will be able to shoot half a roll (17 pictures). Please wear comfortable clothing. There will be a 40 min lunch break.
