Cross the fine line between what’s said and what’s meant... For us, Fine Lines isn’t just a play- it’s deeply personal. Adapting Girish Karnad’s Broken Images felt like a journey that resonated with each of us in unique and collective ways.
This timeless story tackles family, social norms, and language in a way that crosses boundaries and speaks to universal experiences. Set in Assam, we’ve woven in the linguistic tensions between English and Assamese, adding local idioms and examples to ground the story in our context. By reimagining the original monodrama as a two-character dialogue, we’ve brought the duality of the narrative to life.
With a simple, minimalist setup, no extra sounds, and subtle lighting, the focus stays entirely on the conversations that drive this 50-minute experience.

Reasons why you must attend this show!
1. Because this adaptation doesn’t just restage a play, it reinvents it. A play where two versions of the same person argue about truth, language, and ambition, all without a single sound cue to distract you.
2. Because Fine Lines holds up a mirror. It’s witty, unsettling, and deeply relatable. It is the kind of performance that stays with you long after the lights go out (and might even make you question which voice in your head you’re really listening to).
